GEOLOGICAL FIELD EXPERIENCES

  • Geological Field Training near and around Chitrakoot to acquaint with various geological structures and lithological features during my M.Sc.
  • Structural study of the ultramylonites and B.I.F. bands along with the structural mapping of the B.I.F. bands in Bundelkhand Precambrian terrain around Babina, Jhansi district (U.P.), India, during M.Sc.
  • Lithologs preparation and facies identification in Tons River basin during M.Sc. dissertation.
  • Mapping of alluvial fan and fluvial terraces in North Bengal, East Sikkim and South Sikkim. Lithologs were prepared and samples for OSL dating were collected during PhD.
  • Similar kind of field work was also done in foreland of Bhutan Himalayas.
  • Lithofacies identification and sampling for OSL dating was done in different river basins of Tamil Nadu to reconstruct past flood events.
  • 10Be and 26Al sample collection in the Aravalli to understand the neotectonics if the region
